    If you received a letter from the Attorney General’s Office regarding funds available from a lawsuit against Reed Hein, which did business as Timeshare Exit Team, that letter is legitimate. Please follow the directions in the letter to see if you qualify for a refund of some of the money you paid Timeshare Exit Team.

  2. What is this lawsuit/settlement about?

    In 2020, the Attorney General’s Office sued Timeshare Exit Team for deceptive exit practices. As a result of that suit, the Attorney General’s Office is distributing money to Washingtonians who paid for Timeshare Exit Team’s services.

  3. Why did the Attorney General’s Office send me a letter about Timeshare Exit Team?

    The Attorney General’s Office sent letters to all Washington consumers whom Timeshare Exit Team’s records indicate purchased its services. You received the letter because you are on that list.

  4. I paid for Timeshare Exit Team’s services. What do I need to do to see if I qualify for a refund?

    There is a two-question survey enclosed with the letter the Attorney General’s Office sent you. Please complete the survey and mail it back in the self-addressed, stamped envelope included with the letter.

  5. What do I do if I lost the survey?

    Please send an email to [email protected] to request that a replacement survey be sent to you.

  6. Is it too late for me to submit my survey responses?

    Survey responses must be received by the Attorney General’s Office not later than April 27,2024.

  7. I submitted my survey responses. What happens next?

    After the period for the submission of the survey results closes, the Attorney General’s Office will review the survey results and mail refunds to individuals who qualify.

  8. Is this related to the class action suits against Timeshare Exit Company and others, such as Adolph v. Reed Hein & Assoc. d/b/a Timeshare Exit Team and Patrick v. Ramsey, et al.?

    No. The Attorney General’s lawsuit and settlement with Timeshare Exit Company is distinct from any private litigation involving the company.

  9. How much money will I receive if I submit the survey?

    Refund amounts will be determined based on the number of completed surveys consumers return to the Attorney General’s Office. You may not receive a full refund of all amounts you paid to Timeshare Exit Team.

  10. What do I do if I didn’t cash my check before it expired?

    Please send an email to [email protected] to request that a new check be issued. Note that the Attorney General’s Office will issue only one replacement check.
